Hopkins Gate at Williams College Mug
As a NESCAC School alum myself, I'm on a journey to draw special spots from the campuses of all of the NESCAC schools. This is Williams College's Hopkins Gate! I conferred with a Williams alum to try to find a spot on campus that was not only beautiful, but also nostalgic and instantly recognizable. I hope that my drawing fosters happy feelings of nostalgia or excitement for every member of the Williams College community: past, present, and future!
My original colored pencil drawing measures 12"x9" and took about 60 hours total to complete. The photograph that I used as a reference for my drawing was taken by Williams College alum Stephanie Nguyen '14.
