Greeting Cards Memorial Hill at Amherst College
As an Amherst College alum, I am a little bit biased about where my favorite spot in Western Massachusetts is... it's the vantage point from Memorial Hill! This is a print of an original artwork that depicts the view from Amherst College's Memorial Hill of the iconic Holyoke Range. The circular structure that you see is the Amherst College War Memorial, commemorating the Amherst alumni who fought in World War II. Memorial Hill is located on the south side of Amherst College's campus.
The original artwork was created over 80+ hours with prismacolor colored pencils, based on a reference photo used with the permission of the photographer, Matthew Chow (also Amherst College Class of '18).
These cards each measure 4.25"x5.5", are frameable, and come with a white envelope for mailing. The back features a short artist bio, artist headshot, title and card information, and QR code to my Linktree. The cards are printed on Rolland Enviro 100lb Uncoated Cover: 100% recycled, uncoated stock, with subtle specks of color throughout the paper. FSC Certified – Recycled, 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Fibers.
Each card is blank on the inside!
Greeting cards have always played a major role in my art--from designing the cover of the Goebel family Christmas card every year since I was 8 years old, to now! During the start of the Covid pandemic, while I was living all alone in a new city, I opened my little Etsy greeting card shop with four card cover drawings to help people spread joy and be able to connect despite distance. And now, about two years later, I've invested in beautiful high quality scans, digital editing to ensure that the cards look polished and professional, lovely paper, and professional printing. And let me tell you: it's paid off! These cards are beautiful, and I get so excited thinking about them circling the world and adding the many colors of a flower to people's homes.
