Colors of a Flower
Artwork helping us connect more deeply with ourselves, nature, and one another.
About the Artist
Krista Therese Goebel
When I was growing up, I dreamed of being an artist. I drew every day, all the time, every chance I got. But once I got caught up in college, I stopped drawing completely.
I remember one particular day vividly while I was working in undergraduate admissions, when I peered out at the view from the Amherst College War Memorial (see the drawing above!). I knew that the scene was beautiful, but I didn't have the time to really appreciate it. I wanted to slow down and stare for hours, and I realized that I might have been meant for a different lifestyle.
So, I've finally slowed down, re-centered my goals, and started Colors of a Flower, my own art practice and small business, where I now stare at life's natural vibrance for hours upon hours and capture it on paper. I have two main wishes for my artwork:
1) That the details and colors inspire viewers to slow down and appreciate what's in front of us.
2) That it helps people feel more connected to themselves, nature, and to one another.
Thank you for visiting my website and glimpsing into my pursuit of my lifelong dream.
